HDP Staff Delegation to Argentina
A team of HDP staff was in Buenos Aires, Argentina from January 25-28, 2024 to learn and find ways in which the U.S. Congress and Argentinian Parliament can better collaborate with one another and also with other legislatures in the region. Meetings included high-level engagements with U.S. Ambassador to Argentina Marc R. Stanley, Foreign Relations Committee Advisors within the Argentinian Parliament, the Argentina Ministry of Foreign Affairs, NGOs focused on good governance, labor representatives, and academics.
Through these meetings, the delegation examined governance issues and factors influencing Argentina’s parliament and governance processes, including security, stability, trade, and national defense. Despite the many economic challenges facing the country, Argentina has much to share with its neighbors and remains a strong partner and ally to the United States.
