Roundtable on Democratic Solidarity with South Korean National Assembly Members
Building on the House Democracy Partnership’s recent engagement with the Korean National Assembly, HDP joined the East Asia Institute 동아시아 연구원(EAI) for a virtual roundtable between U.S. Members of Congress and Korean National Assembly Members to speak on democratic solidarity ahead of important elections globally. Members shared the challenges, opportunities, and importance of working across party lines on critical issues and expressed well wishes for the ROK-hosted Summit for Democracy happening later this year.
In attendance were HDP Members Rep. Dina Titus (D-NV), Rep. Darin LaHood (R-IL), Rep. Robin Kelly (D-IL), Rep. Kevin Hern (R-OK), and Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL), and Congressional Caucus on Korea Member Rep. Brad Schneider (D-IL).
