WASHINGTON — Today, House Democracy Partnership Chairman Vern Buchanan (R-FL) and Ranking Member Dina Titus (D-NV) urged the State Department to maintain its support for a U.S.-led initiative to construct a 400 kV overhead electrical transmission line between Straseni, Moldova, and Gutinas, Romania.
The House Democracy Partnership (HDP), led by Chairman Vern Buchanan, traveled to Belgium, Moldova, Romania, and Greece to engage in a series of high-level dialogues with leaders and parliamentarians on relations with the United States and continued support for democratic resilience across Europe.
At the House Democracy Partnership, we believe that strong, collaborative legislative institutions are key to regional stability and global security. We were pleased to work with ParlAmericas to host a bipartisan roundtable that brought together U.S. Members of Congress and legislative leaders from 20 countries across Latin America and the Caribbean.
